宋朝时期，宋仁宗因郭皇后与宠妃之间的矛盾就要废了郭皇后，宰相吕夷简积极鼓动仁宗废后。御史中丞孔道辅、右司谏范仲淹坚决反对废后，仁宗大发雷霆降他们两人的职，河阳判官富弼上书：“朝廷一举而两失。纵不能复后，宜还仲淹、道辅。”
