张靖，河阳（今河南孟县南）人（《鸡肋编》卷下），望子。幼与文彦博同学。仁宗天圣五年（一○二六）进士（《邵氏闻见录》卷九、《石林燕语》卷三）。文彦博为相，擢直龙图阁（《石林燕语》卷一○）。嘉祐八年（一○六三），仁宗崩，以三司户部判官权西京转运使，终山陵而罢（《宋会要辑稿》礼二九之三七）。神宗熙宁初为淮南转运使，究陕西盐马得失，竟获罪（《宋史》卷一八一《食货》三下）。降知邠州（《续资治通鉴长编》卷二二二）。五年（一○七二）以光禄卿直史馆知陕州；八年，知荆南（同上书卷二二九、二七）。有《棋经十三篇》，今存。今录诗二首。
