许宝蘅，1875生，浙江仁和人。光绪壬寅举人。清末曾任学部主事，军机章京。民国时任总统府秘书、国务院秘书、铨叙局局长、内务部考绩司长、代理内务部次长、国务院秘书长等职。1927年任故宫博物院图书馆副馆长，兼管掌故部。后任辽宁省政府秘书长、黑龙江省府顾问。1931年后在北京著述、教学。解放后，为中央文史馆研究馆馆员。
