凡文章之有韵者，皆可歌也。第时有升降，言有雅俗，调有古今，声有清浊。
原其所自，无非发人心之和，非六德之外，别有一律吕也。汉魏晋宋之有乐府，
人多不能晓；唐始有词，而宋因之，其知之者亦罕见其人焉。今之歌曲，比于古
词，有名同而言简者；时亦复有与古相同者，此皆世变之所致，非故求异乖诸古
而强合于今也。使今之曲歌于古，犹古之曲也。古之词歌于今，犹今之词也。其
所以和人之心养情性者，奚古今之异哉！先哲有言：今之乐犹古之乐，不其然欤！
尝读李长吉十二月乐词，其意新而不蹈袭，句丽而不忄舀淫。长短不一，音节亦
异。旁构冥思，朝涵夕泳。谐五声以摊其腔，和八音以符其调。寻绎日久，竟无
所得，遂辍其学，以待知音者出而余承其教焉！因增损其语，而隐括为〔天净沙〕，
如其首数。不惟于樽席之间，便于宛转之喉；且以发长吉之蕴藉，使不掩其声者。
慎勿曰：侮贤者之言云。
上楼迎得春归，暗黄著柳依依，弄野轻寒似水。锦床鸳被，梦回初日迟迟。 正月
劳劳胡燕酣春，逗烟薇帐生尘，蛾髻佳人瘦损。暖云如困，不堪起舞缃裙。 二月
夹城曲水飘香，扫蛾云髻新妆，落尽梨化欲赏。不胜惆怅，东风萦损柔肠。 三月
依微香雨青氛，金塘闲水生，数点残芳堕粉。绿莎轻衬，月明空照黄昏。 四月
沿华水汲清樽，含风轻索殳虚门，舞困腮融汗粉。翠罗香润，鸳鸯扇织回文。 五月
疏疏拂柳生裁，炎炎红镜初开，暑困天低寡色。火轮飞盖，晖晖日上蓬莱。 六月
星依云渚溅溅，露零玉液涓涓，宝砌衰兰剪剪。碧天如练，光摇北斗阑干。 七月
吴姬鬓拥双鸦，玉人梦里归家，风弄虚檐铁马。天高露下，月明丹桂生华。 八月
鸡鸣晓色珑璁，鸦啼金井梧桐，月坠茎寒露涌。广寒霜重，方池冷悴芙蓉。 九月
玉壶银箭难倾，花凝笑幽明，霜碎虚庭月冷。绣帏人静，夜长鸳梦难成。 十月
高城回冷严光，白天碎坠琼芳，高饮挝钟日赏。流苏金帐，琐窗睡杀鸳鸯。 十一月
日光洒洒生红，琼葩碎碎迷空，寒夜漫漫漏永。串销金凤，兽炉香霭春融。 十二月
七十二候环催，葭灰玉重飞，莫道光阴似水。羲和迁辔，金鞭懒著龙媒。 闰月

孟昉，字天纬，一作天晔。本西域人，回族，寓居北京。延祐（一三一四--一三二〇）间为胄监生。明敏英妙，质美而行懿，由乡举得举，从事臬司宪部掾枢府，进中书西曹，典国子监簿。元明间回族词人，曾在元为官。有多部作品传世。元曲三百首中收有他的一首天净沙。《滋溪文稿》卷三十张光弼赞许道："孟子论文自老成，早于国语亦留情。"（《寄孟昉郎中》诗）可见其文雄称当时，极负盛名。惜《孟待制文集》今已不传。
