太行之山何崔嵬，铁崖翠壁万仞中天开其势北来。
吾不知其几万里，但见横亘辽碛包括秦晋斗起中原之地何壮哉。
往年吾尝陟其顶，四顾山如培塿树如苔。黄河一线遥遥下，砥石奔流直到东海不复回。
此时英风浩然洒六合，便欲历览天上金银台。其中羊肠九折走峻坂，摧轮怪石硱磳磊落而成堆。
太行之高且险也如此，子今远行令人兴难裁。倘到昔所登览最高处，为我歌此一曲还徘徊。
西望襄陵迢迢秪几驿，驱车径须往渡清汾隈。愿子居易思险慎厥守始终，保令誉慰我相思怀。

薛瑄（1389年8月20日—1464年7月19日），字德温，号敬轩。河津（今山西省运城市万荣县里望乡平原村人）人。明代著名思想家、理学家、文学家，河东学派的创始人，世称“薛河东”。薛瑄继曹端之后，在北方开创了“河东之学”，门徒遍及山西、河南、关陇一带，蔚为大宗。其学传至明中期，又形成以吕大钧兄弟为主的“关中之学”，其势“几与阳明中分其感”。清人视薛学为朱学传宗，称之为“明初理学之冠”，“开明代道学之基”。高攀龙认为，有明一代，学脉有二：一是南方的阳明之学，一是北方的薛瑄朱学。。其著作集有《薛文清公全集》四十六卷。
