王褒，字子渊，西汉人，文学家，生卒年不详。蜀资中（今四川省资阳市雁江区墨池坝）人。其生卒年失载，只知他文学创作活动主要在汉宣帝（公元前73～前49年在位）时期。他是我国历史上著名的辞赋家，写有《洞箫赋》等赋十六篇，与扬雄并称“渊云”。
