敦礼，河北人。字仲由，本通州静海人，居溧阳。与弟敦诗同登绍兴三十年（1160）进士。历江宁尉、平江府教授、江东安抚司干官、诸王宫大小学教授。淳熙八年（1181）卒，官至宣教郎。有宫教集。爱溧阳山水，买田筑室居焉。其著作《刍言》编凡分三卷：上卷言政，中卷言行，下卷言学。
