（1141—1226）明州慈溪人，字敬仲，世称慈湖先生。杨庭显子。孝宗乾道五年进士。授富阳主簿。师事陆九渊，发展心学，主张“毋意”、“无念”，“无思无虑是谓道心”等。尝知乐平县，兴学校，教生徒，邑内夜无盗警，路不拾遗。光宗绍熙五年，召为国子博士。宁宗嘉定初出知温州，首倡废除妓籍，以廉俭为民所爱戴。官终宝谟阁学士。卒谥文元。有《慈湖诗传》、《杨氏易传》、《先圣大训》、《五诰解》及《慈湖遗书》等。
