璛字子敬，宋司农卿潗之子，自高邮再徙平江，家焉。宋亡，例遣北上，潗行至莘县，不食卒，璛悲不自胜，叹曰：国亡家破，吾兄弟不能力振门户，独不可为儒以自奋邪！与其弟理刻苦于学。戴帅初、仇仁近、胡汲仲皆与为忘年交，声誉籍甚。人称曰「两龚」，以比汉「两龚」云。
