谓开词赋科，浮华益无耻。持较今世文，未易遽轩轾。
隋唐制科后，变法屡兴废。同以文章名，均之等废契。
譬如探筹策，亦可得茂异。狗《曲》出何经，驴券书博士。
所用非所习，祇以丛骂詈。亦有高材生，各自矜爪觜。
袒汉夸考据，媚宋争义理。彼此互是非，是非均一鄙。
茫茫宇宙间，万事等儿戏。作诗一长吟，聊用自娱喜。

黄遵宪（1848年4月27日～1905年3月28日）晚清诗人，外交家、政治家、教育家。字公度，别号人境庐主人，汉族客家人，广东省梅州人，光绪二年举人，历充师日参赞、旧金山总领事、驻英参赞、新加坡总领事，戊戌变法期间署湖南按察使，助巡抚陈宝箴推行新政。工诗，喜以新事物熔铸入诗，有“诗界革新导师”之称。黄遵宪有《人镜庐诗草》、《日本国志》、《日本杂事诗》。被誉为“近代中国走向世界第一人”。
