风雷驱鳄出海地，通商口开远人至。黄沙幻作锦绣场，白日腾上金银气。
峨峨新旧两海关，旧关尚属旗官治。先生在关非关吏，我欲从之问关事。
新关主者伊何人？短衣戴笠胡羊鼻。新关税赢旧关绌，关吏持筹岁能记。
新关税入馀百万，中朝取之偿国债。日日洋轮出入口，红头旧船十九废。
土货税重洋货轻，此法已难相抵制。况持岁价两相较，出口货惟十之二。
入口岁赢二千万，曷怪民财日穷匮。惟潮出口糖大宗，颇闻近亦鲜溢利。
西人嗜糖嗜其白，贱卖赤砂改机制。年来仿制土货多，各口华商商务坠。
如何我不制洋货，老生抵死雠机器。或言官实掣商肘，机厂欲开预防累。
此语或真吾不信，祗怪华商少雄志。坐令洋货日报关，万巧千奇无不备。
以其货来以人往，大舱迫窄不能位。岁十万人出此关，偻指来归十无四。
十万人中人彘半，载往作工仰喂饲。可怜生死落人手，不信造物人为贵。
中朝屡诏言保商，惜无人陈保工议。我工我商皆可怜，强弱岂非随国势？
不然十丈黄龙旗，何尝我国无公使？彼来待以至优礼，我往竟成反比例。
且看西人领事权，雷厉风行来照会。大官小吏咸朒缩，左华右洋日张示。
华商半悬他国旗，报关但用横行字。其中大驵尤狡狯，播弄高权遽横恣。
商誇洋籍民洋教，时事年来多怪异。先生在关虽见惯，思之应下哀时泪。
闽粤中间此片土，商务蒸蒸岁逾岁。瓜分之图日见报，定有旁人思攘臂。
关前关后十万家，利窟沉酣如梦寐。先王古训言先醒，可能呼起通国睡。
出门莽莽多风尘，无奈天公亦沉醉。

丘逢甲(1864年～1912年）近代诗人。字仙根，又字吉甫，号蛰庵、仲阏、华严子，别署海东遗民、南武山人、仓海君。辛亥革命后以仓海为名。祖籍嘉应镇平（今广东蕉岭）。同治三年（1864年）生于台湾彰化，光绪十四年（1887年）中举人，光绪十五年登进士（1889年），授任工部主事。但丘逢甲无意在京做官返回台湾，到台湾台中衡文书院担任主讲，后又于台湾的台南和嘉义教育新学。
