李行言（生卒、籍贯不详）。唐宣宗在位期间（846—859），曾任泾阳县（治今泾阳县）令。有宣宗对李行言不畏豪强、敢作敢为的品质深为赞赏。回朝以后，担心忘记，就把泾阳县令李行言的名字写下贴在了大殿的柱子上。这年十月，海州（治今江苏省连云港市西南海州镇）刺史员缺，宣宗即破格提拔李行言为海州刺史。李行言入朝谢恩，宣宗问他知不知道这次升迁的原因，答说不知，宣宗便讲了他在行猎途中暗中考察他的故事，并把贴在殿柱上的帖子揭下来让他看，李行言这才明白此中的原委。
