高铢，元和六年登进士第。穆宗即位，入朝为监察御史，累迁员外郎、吏部郎中。太和五年，拜给事中。七年，为外官监考使。八年十月，文宗用国子助教李仲言为侍讲，铢率谏官伏阁论曰：“仲言素行纤邪，若听用，必乱国经。”上令中使宣谕曰：“朕要仲言讲书，非有听用也。”是岁，先旱后水，京师谷价腾踊；彗星为变，举选皆停，人情杂然流议。郑注奸谋，日闻于外。铢等犯难论诤，冀上省悟。既奉宣传，相顾失色，以其危亡可翘足而待也。明年，训、注窃权，恶铢不附己，五月，出为越州刺史、御史中丞、浙东观察使。开成三年，就加检校左散骑常侍，寻入为刑部侍郎。四年七月，出为河南尹。会昌末，为吏部侍郎。
