章八元（生卒年不详），唐代诗人，字虞贤，桐庐县常乐乡章邑里（今横村镇）人。少时喜作诗，偶然在邮亭（旅馆）题诗数行，严维见后甚感惊奇，收为弟子。数年间，诗赋精绝，人称“章才子”。唐大历六年（771年）进士。贞元中调句容（今江苏句容县）主簿，后升迁协律郎（掌校正乐律）。有诗集一卷传世。
