高明(约1305~约1371) 元代戏曲家。字则诚,号菜根道人。浙江瑞安人,受业于县人黄溍时,成古典名剧《琵琶记》。元代戏曲作家。瑞安属古永嘉郡，永嘉亦称东嘉，故后人称他为高东嘉。他的长辈、兄弟均能诗擅文。他曾从名儒黄□游，黄为官清廉，并以至孝见称。高明的思想、品格受家庭、老师影响颇深。明代万历刻本《琵琶记》插图高明青年时期用世之心很盛,元顺帝至正五年(1345)以《春秋》考中进士，历任处州录事、江浙行省丞相掾、福建行省都事等职。高明为官清明练达，曾审理四明冤狱，郡中称为神明。他能关心民间疾苦，不屈权势，受到治下百姓爱戴，处州期满离任时，百姓曾为他立碑。
