有客人乘船从忠州来，派人骑马把客人安置在瀼西草堂。
草堂本来是用来消遣的，现在借你搬迁，我停止了宴会出游。
云石之间，光彩闪动，高叶当曙；江风飒飒，乱帆涌动，秋色肃森。
草堂现在已成了和姻亲往来的地方，可允许我闲坐散愁吗？
注释
司法：官吏名。清朱鹤龄《杜工部集辑注》：州府各有司法参军事。
舸（音gě），船。忠州，今重庆忠县。这句写吴郎。
瀼（音ráng）西，在今奉节城外的梅溪河之西。这句写杜甫派人骑马把吴郎安置在瀼西草堂。杜甫《秋日夔府咏怀奉寄郑监李宾客一百韵》诗中原注：江水横通山谷处，方人谓之瀼。
古堂，指瀼西草堂。藉疏豁，因为这里宽敞明亮。
这句是说，我搬家离开，把瀼西草堂借给你，我也就停止在那里的宴饮游乐。
云石，高耸入云的山石。一说为云彩和山石。
姻娅，亲家和连襟，泛指姻亲。语出《诗经·节南山》：“琐琐姻娅”。过逢，犹过从。这句是说，瀼西草堂现在已成了和姻亲往来的地方。
古时“曾”同“层”。轩，这里指房屋。层轩指多层的带有长廊的敞厅，泛指高屋。数，数次。顾宸注：此本公（指杜甫）堂，与坐轩而散愁，反问吴见许，此相谑之词也。
简吴郎司法鉴赏
此诗当为公元767年（唐代宗大历二年）作于夔州（今重庆奉节），当时杜甫56岁。“简”是信件，这一首诗也是一封信。吴郎，即吴南卿，是来自忠州的一位“司法”（州政府的军事参谋），是杜甫的晚辈姻亲，暂住夔州，与杜甫关系很好。杜甫在夔州有两处住宅，一处是靠近市区的瀼西草堂，一处是在东屯农庄的茅屋。平时他居住在瀼西草堂，当时是秋天，杜甫负责管理一百顷公田，为了更好地履行职责，杜甫搬到了位于白帝城东十余里的东屯。搬家后，将瀼西草堂借让给吴郎住（有《自瀼西荆扉且移东屯茅屋四首》记其事）。仇兆鳌注：“此章为吴郎借居而作也。乘舸而至，遣骑往迎，见宾主之情。昔藉疏豁，今停宴游，以借居故也。五六，疏豁之景。七八，迁居后事。”整首诗记述的是吴郎到来前后的情事。

杜甫（712－770），字子美，自号少陵野老，世称“杜工部”、“杜少陵”等，汉族，河南府巩县（今河南省巩义市）人，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，杜甫被世人尊为“诗圣”，其诗被称为“诗史”。杜甫与李白合称“李杜”，为了跟另外两位诗人李商隐与杜牧即“小李杜”区别开来，杜甫与李白又合称“大李杜”。他忧国忧民，人格高尚，他的约1400余首诗被保留了下来，诗艺精湛，在中国古典诗歌中备受推崇，影响深远。759-766年间曾居成都，后世有杜甫草堂纪念。
