译文
夜已过半，但天将亮未亮，在醉梦温柔乡中，却花气馥郁、莺啼娇啭，缠绵悱恻令人难舍。
黄色小犬撼动寺钟，划破寂静的夜空，令人不禁想起二十年前的一个黎明在普救寺中发生的情事。
注释
春晓：一作“春晚”，似作为《莺莺传》之张本。
花气：花的香气。
猧（wō）：黄色小犬。
春晓创作背景
此诗或元和十四年（819）作于虢州。当时距元稹初识双文（即莺莺）已经过去整整二十年了，但由于天欲明未明、人半梦半醒之际的“钟声”，契合了当年的特定情境，便立即引动那“二十年前晓寺情”，使得怀念和怅惘交织，心潮起伏，久久不平静，因作此诗。

元稹（779年－831年，或唐代宗大历十四年至文宗大和五年），字微之，别字威明，唐洛阳人（今河南洛阳）。父元宽，母郑氏。为北魏宗室鲜卑族拓跋部后裔，是什翼犍之十四世孙。早年和白居易共同提倡“新乐府”。世人常把他和白居易并称“元白”。
