水亭花上三更月，扇与人闲。弄影阑干。玉燕重抽拢坠簪。
心期偷卜新莲子，秋入眉山。翠破红残。半簟湘波生晓寒。
采桑子·水亭花上三更月鉴赏
“水亭”两句，“水亭”临水，所以“花”即夏日莲花也。此言夏日深夜，月光如水泻在花上、叶上、水亭上和亭中之人身上。本来夏日暑热手不停扇，但如今时已深夜，人在水亭，就不需要频摇扇子，故曰“扇与人闲”。“弄影”两句，状归隐。“抽簪”，仕官者束发整冠，而用簪固冠发上，今言“抽簪”，即是暗喻卸仕归隐。沈约《侍宴乐游苑》诗有：“将陪告成礼，待此未抽簪”，即是指卸仕也。此言人在亭旁栏干伫立，月照人影倒映水中摇晃不停，“无官一身轻”，所以能抽去燕形玉簪，卸去官帽而自由自在了。上片记述一位卸仕之人的闲适情状。
“心期”两句，述因闲致愁。言此人闲极无聊，就用亭旁池中莲子作卦具，暗暗祈祷而卜之。可是卜象却并不理想，因此不由得心中烦恼，紧皱起双眉。“秋入眉山”，即是愁入眉头之谓。可参阅词人《唐多令·惜别》词“何处合成愁，离人心上秋”句意。“翠破”两句，触景生情。此人心中烦恼，再加上池中的荷叶、莲花因已生出莲子而开始破残，所以他睡在湘妃竹编制的竹席上，翻来覆去一夜无眠，直至拂晓寒意侵人，就更加清醒了。下片述因闲适无聊而烦愁的一种心理活动。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
