乔木幽人三亩宅，生刍一束向谁论？
藤萝得意干云日，箫鼓何心进酒尊。
白屋可能无孺子，黄堂不是欠陈蕃。
古人冷淡今人笑，湖水年年到旧痕。
徐孺子祠堂鉴赏
凡读过王勃《滕王阁序》的人，都会懂得“徐稚下陈蕃之榻”的典故。祠堂是曾巩修建的，黄庭坚通过凭吊徐稚，抒发高士不得重用的寂寞情怀。这首诗受杜甫《蜀相》的影响颇深，但缺乏杜诗的灵气。
这首诗的首联即取“丞相祠堂何处寻？锦官城外柏森森”的意境，只是上下句顺序颠倒，增添一个“生刍”的典故。有人称赞黄庭坚这样学杜诗是“变其面貌”，恐怕这样一变就成了东施效颦，而杜诗读起来要顺畅得多。倒是颔联满有趣味，不用考证典故就能理解。藤萝攀树，自鸣得意，居然天也可遮，日也能蔽。不知当年蔡京之流读后，可“怒发冲冠”否。而苏轼诵之，定拍案惊奇也。下句中“何心”问得好，冷落的祠堂，超凡脱俗的高士，谁也没有心思来祭奠他。确实耐人寻味。
用韩愈《马说》中“千里马常有，而伯乐不常有”来解说颈联，什么问题都迎刃而解。屈原的“黄钟毁弃，瓦釜雷鸣”，杜甫的“志士仁人莫嗟怨，古来材大难为用”，龚自珍的“我劝天公重抖擞，不拘一格降人才”，这都是唱不完的中国人才悲歌。
尾联上句议论，其意甚明。值得回味的是下句：潮涨潮落，这是自然规律；兴亡盛衰，这是社会规律。“才如（韩）信（彭）越尤菹醢，安用思他猛士为？”这一“旧痕”任何一个朝代都会见到。委婉曲折的语言中，蕴含着诗人深刻的讽刺意味，而以景结之，的确妙绝。

黄庭坚（1045.8.9-1105.5.24），字鲁直，号山谷道人，晚号涪翁，洪州分宁（今江西省九江市修水县）人，北宋著名文学家、书法家，为盛极一时的江西诗派开山之祖，与杜甫、陈师道和陈与义素有“一祖三宗”（黄庭坚为其中一宗）之称。与张耒、晁补之、秦观都游学于苏轼门下，合称为“苏门四学士”。生前与苏轼齐名，世称“苏黄”。著有《山谷词》，且黄庭坚书法亦能独树一格，为“宋四家”之一。
