昔有医人，自媒能治背驼，曰：“如弓者、如虾者、如环者，若延吾治，可朝治而夕如矢矣。”一人信焉，使治曲驼，乃索板二片，以一置地下，卧驼者其上，又以一压焉，又践之。驼者随直，亦随死。其子欲诉诸官。医人曰：“我业治驼，但管人直，不管人死。”呜呼！今之为官，但管钱粮收，不管百姓死，何异于此医也哉！(自媒一作：自诩)

译文
从前有个医生，自己夸耀自己能治驼背，他说："背弯得像弓一样的人，像虾一样的人，像环一样的人，如果请我去医治，保管早上治傍晚就像箭一样笔直了。"有个人相信了他，就让这个医生给他治驼背。医生要来两块门板，把一块放在地上，叫驼背人趴在上面，又用另一块压在上面，然后到门板上践踏。驼背人的背很快就弄直了，但人马上就死了。那人的儿子想要到官府去告状，这个医生却说："我的职业是治驼背，我只管治驼背，不管人的死活！"

庸医治驼鉴赏
一、光有良好的愿望是不够的，必须要辅之以科学有效的措施。寓言中的庸医扬言他专治驼背，经他着手的病人，都能治好。但是他的治疗方法却是用两块木板夹住病人，GREn/ target=_blank class=infotextkey>用人在木板上面踩踏。这显然不是科学的治疗方法。我们每个单位在年初时都会提一些年度目标，向职工展示美好的前景。比如许多单位都会说要改善职工生活，提高职工福利待遇。这本是个很好的愿望，也是受职工欢迎的愿望。但如果在实现这一目标时，不是通过正规渠道，那就成“庸医”了。这种例子不是少数。如有的单位通过乱收费来增收，有的通过非法手段来增收。今天报上刊登的湖南省郴州市原市委副书记、纪委书记（已判刑），就是要求每一个私营业主向纪委缴40万元买一块纪委颁发的保护牌，不买的话就通过种种手段刁难，甚至把业主“双规”。这样的人不是“庸医”是什么？这样不但没有为职工谋好利益，反而损害了职工的利益。
二、一定要分清轻重，不能本末倒置。寓言中的庸医把病人治死了，驼背的儿子找医生评理，他却说：“我只管把他的驼背弄直，哪管他的死活！”他的错误就在于顾此失彼，轻重不分，本末倒置。在回答治驼背与救性命这两者之间谁更重要的问题时，他选择了前者，即轻者。而对更重要的“性命”，他却忽视了，因而酿成了把活人治死的恶果。我们平时的工作中，也经常要治理一些不良现象，如职工上班不遵守纪律、工作积极性不高、违犯操作规程等等。在出台一项管理措施或有关政策时，必须要充分考虑到其实施的后果，避免因为治理了这些问题，又衍生出了其它更加严重的问题。在实施过程中，如果发现操作走样，或是因为政策、措施本身不完善，必须及时纠正，以免酿成恶果。假如寓言中的医生听到病人呼救时，能及时停下来，病人就不至于丧命了。

江盈科，字进之，号绿萝山人。湖南桃源人，明万历二十年进士，先后历任长洲县令、大理寺正、户部员外郎、卒于四川提学副使任上。是明朝晚期文坛“公安派”的重要成员之一，诗文理论主张为文应抒发当时代个人的真性情，反对“文必秦汉、诗必盛唐”说法，极力赞成灵性说。
