贺新郎·和前韵译文及注释
译文
我像东野那样苦思来作诗。想起在水仙祠下那些风流处士，更想起小孤山的烟涛波浪里，那望眼欲穿的彭郎矶。一色空濛，神色令人难以描画。谁能写出西湖的浩渺宏大，气吞云梦，也只有司马相如那样能写出《上林赋》的人才能描绘出它的王者之气。
原来的渔樵社在摆鸡豚宴。问我带湖春水涨，山水之乐无穷，什么时候回来。我喜欢那三万里烟波浩渺的西湖，卧在水亭烟谢中，面对玉塔，于深夜之中欣赏湖水的微澜。文吏像云一样不要来拿事劳烦我。写诗咏西湖碰上了强劲对手。我也要像谢灵运那样做一个“池塘生春草”之类名句的好梦。
注释
和前韵：指用前《贺新郎》（翠浪吞平野）韵再咏西湖。
东野：唐代诗人孟郊字东野，其诗均苦思而得，深为韩愈所推重。又，《三山志》谓福州东禅院有东野亭，蔡襄书额。未知此处果何所指。
风流处士：指林逋。逋性孤高自好，喜恬淡，勿趋荣利。自谓：“然吾志之所适，非室家也，非功名富贵也，只觉青山绿水与我情相宜。”林逋终生不仕不娶，无子，惟喜植梅养鹤，自谓 “以梅为妻，以鹤为子”，人称“梅妻鹤子”。
水仙祠：在杭州西湖。
鸡豚（tún）：鸡和猪。古时农家所养禽畜。
先生：作者自指。带湖，在江西上饶。
琉璃三万顷：指福州西湖烟波浩渺。杜甫《渼陂行》：“波涛万顷堆琉璃”。
雁鹜（wù）：喻文吏。
勍（qíng）者：强手，劲敌。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
