冰骨清寒瘦一枝。玉人初上木兰时。懒妆斜立澹春姿。
月落溪穷清影在，日长春去画帘垂。五湖水色掩西施。
浣溪沙·题李中斋舟中梅屏鉴赏
“冰骨”两句，绘出屏中梅树之貌。两句脱胎于成语“冰清玉洁”，赞梅树之格调高雅。“木兰”，即木兰舟的省称。此言自己在观赏了友人的舟中梅屏后，感受到屏中梅枝玉骨冰清傲霜斗寒般的气质。“懒妆”一句，以梅拟人，写出梅枝的神韵。此句也是从林逋《山园小梅》诗“疏影横斜水清浅”句中化出，赞屏中梅枝活似佳人之天生丽质，虽懒于梳妆打扮，然淡然而立，尽占春色，不愧为“东风第一枝”之称。此亦是以“清水出芙蓉，天然去雕琢”赞梅枝也。
“月落”两句，紧扣上片结句而生发开去。林逋《山园小梅》有“暗香浮动月黄昏”句，词人另辟蹊径，写自己对月落后溪边梅枝的感受：月儿虽然已沉没在小溪的尽头，梅枝的倩影却能长留在溪畔。此非影留，实是词人感情所系也。接着词人转而写实，言日长天久春天也会过尽，然而绘有“东风第一枝”的梅屏，却长留在舟中。“五湖”句，既点出“舟”字，也复赞梅屏。“五湖”，即太湖。西施曾从范蠡游五湖，此言李中斋小舟载着的梅屏，在千顷太湖的水色掩映下如西子之畅游五湖般的更显婀娜多姿。全词紧扣“舟中梅屏”，拟人状物反复咏叹，形神皆备，根本没有“用事下语太晦，人不可晓”（沈义父《乐府指迷》）之病。

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
