译文
春天的柳树枝条开始变柔，冬天的梅花愈加芳香。夜幕中的雪让梅花更加清冷峭厉，像玉般的雪散落在树林中和池塘中。那回旋的风也逐渐的变得寒冷，寒冷的风越过窗帘，穿透窗缝透着寒气。想要整理新的妆容，呵暖双手拨弄乐器。
漂泊的赋词之人，萧条、冷落的漂泊住所。挥动毛笔，书写书简，犹记得当年在粱园献《汴京赋》被神宗擢为太学正的风流往事。看见雪花缓慢地回旋飘于屋前檐下，回廊积满了积雪，在漫漫长夜不要错过这美好的饮酒赏雪的机会。
注释
红林檎近：此调由周邦彦始创。陈本注“双调”，无题。《花草粹编》作“冬雪”。
“高柳”句：谓春天柳树枝条始变柔。
清峭（qiào）：清冷峭厉。
玉尘：喻雪。林塘：树林和池塘。
飘风：回旋的风。递冷：传送寒气。
度幕穿窗：越过帘帷，穿透窗缝。
“似欲”二句：化用欧阳修《诉衷情》词：“清晨帘幕卷轻霜，呵手试梅妆。”料理：安排、整理。杜甫《江畔独步寻花》诗：“诗酒尚堪驱使在，未须料理自头人。”
丝簧：即弦管，泛指乐器。
词赋客：指司马相如，亦作者自指，作者曾献《汴京赋》。故云。
萧索：萧条，冷落、雪花飘落状。谢惠连《雪赋》：“其为状也，散漫交错，氛氲萧索。”水云乡：水云弥漫处，多指隐者所居之处。此指作者所在的江南水乡漂泊。
“援毫授简”二句：谢惠连《雪赋》：“梁王游于兔园,置旨酒，命宾友，召邹生延枚叟。相如末至。居客之右。俄而徽霰零，密雪下。王乃歌《北风》于卫诗，咏《南山》于周雅。授简于司马大夫曰：抽子秘思，聘子妍辞，侔色揣称，为寡人赋之。”毫：指毛笔。简：古人书写用的狭长竹片。
“风流”句：此喻作者于元丰年间献《汴京赋》，神宗擢为太学正，声名一震耀海内。东梁：指粱园，一称兔园。汉粱孝王刘武建，亦名“粱苑”。故址在今河南商丘东。
虚檐徐转：形容雪花缓慢地回旋飘于屋前檐下。
“回廊”二句：谓积雪尚在，别错过夜间饮酒赏雪的机会。酒觞（shāng）：酒杯。

红林檎近·高柳春才软创作背景
据陈思《年谱》所考，该词创作于元祐八年至绍圣二年（1093—1095）间。周邦彦被贬到溧水县任县令，初到贬地，周邦彦凝愁满胸，怨怀难伸。在漫长寒冬里，周邦彦只能与寒梅为友患难与共，创作了该词。

红林檎近·高柳春才软鉴赏
上片起首四句，勾绘一幅梅柳林塘春雪图，清峭而疏淡。高柳春才软，冻梅寒更香。暮雪助清峭，玉尘散林塘——先点明是春雪，雪中梅放，艳丽无比。梅香雪色，韵胜格雅，纯洁坚韧，历代词客骚人，常常借以托言喻志。周邦彦从“玉尘”之典取意，重在写景。那堪飘风递冷，故遣度幕穿窗。似欲料理新妆，呵手弄丝簧。词人似转入写人。以下“那堪”四句，写出内庭寒冷之状。飞舞的雪花，穿窗度幕，随风飘进室内，犹如料理新妆，手弄丝簧。拟人新颖，联想生动。
下片对景抒怀，由人及己，写出了词人宦游他乡、对酒销愁的情感。面对雪景，不禁思念故园，援笔授简，却又想起梁园旧事。昔日的司马相如对雪作赋，人虽已没而余韵流风宛在；词人自己虽也曾汴京献赋，而今却是如此的凄清落寞，失意沉沦。借典运事，曲书胸臆，显得蕴藉深厚。结尾三句由虚而实，从沉思中回归雪景，顾影自怜，谓聊且长夜痛饮，自我慰藉，不致辜负了这场风雪。“虚檐”的空虚与“凹廊”的曲折，恰似词人此时此刻的思想感情。词人在冷落、萧索中，执笔挥写，多少往事萦绕心头，多少愁思难以平静，在凌空的房檐下徘徊，也无心打扫回廊，只有“莫惜空酒觞”了。端起盛满酒的杯子，一杯一杯，自斟自饮，一醉方休。
全篇索物寄意，融心境与外物为一体，深得离合之妙。

周邦彦（1056年－1121年），中国北宋末期著名的词人，字美成，号清真居士，汉族，钱塘（今浙江杭州）人。历官太学正、庐州教授、知溧水县等。徽宗时为徽猷阁待制，提举大晟府。精通音律，曾创作不少新词调。作品多写闺情、羁旅，也有咏物之作。格律谨严。语言典丽精雅。长调尤善铺叙。为后来格律派词人所宗。旧时词论称他为“词家之冠”。有《清真集》传世。
