躺在精美的竹席上，思绪万千，久久不能平静。期待已久的一次与恋人的约会，在这个晚上告吹了。从今以后再也无心欣赏那良辰美景了，管他明月下不下西楼。
注释
水纹珍簟（diàn）：编织着水纹花样的珍贵竹席。思悠悠：思绪很多。悠悠：漫长，遥远。“水纹”句写独宿无眠，回忆往事。
佳期：本指好时光，引申为男女约会的好时机。“千里”句是说，由于风云突变，千里佳期一下子破灭了。
写情创作背景
此诗创作时间不详。蒋防《霍小玉传》中说，李益早岁入长安应试，与霍小玉相爱，立下结为终身伴侣的誓言。后来，李益回乡探望母亲，不料其母已给他和表妹卢氏订婚。迫于封建礼教，他不敢违拗，霍小玉也为此饮恨抑郁而死。但此诗与霍小玉是否相关有待考证。

写情鉴赏
李益这首《写情》载于《全唐诗》卷二百八十三。诗以“写情”为题，很像是写恋人失约后的痛苦心情。此诗所写的时间是在女友失约后的当天晚上。诗人躺在花纹精细、珍贵华美的竹席上，耿耿不寐，思绪万千。原来期待已久的一次佳期约会告吹了。对方变心了，而且变得如此之快，如此之突然，使人连一点思想准备也没有。“佳期”而言“千里”，可见是远地相期，盼望已久，机会难得。“休”而言“一夕”，见得吹得快，吹得彻底，吹得出人意外。而这又是刚刚发生的，正是诗人最痛苦的时刻，是“最难将息”的时候。夜深人静，想起这件事来，不禁失眠。一、二两句从因果关系来看是倒装句法，首句是果，次句是因。
这个令人痛苦的夜晚，偏偏却是一个风清月朗的良宵，良夜美景对心灰意懒的诗人说来，不过形同虚设，根本没有观赏之心。不但今夜如此，从此以后，他再不会对良夜发生任何兴趣了，管他月上东楼，月下西楼。月亮是月亮，自己是自己，从此两不相涉，对失恋的人来说，冷月清光不过徒增悠悠的愁思，勾起痛苦的回忆而已。
这首诗艺术特点是以美景衬哀情。在一般情况下，溶溶月色，灿灿星光能够引起人的美感。但是一个沉浸在痛苦中的心灵，美对他起不了什么作用，有时反而更愁苦烦乱。此诗以乐景写哀，倍增其哀。用“良夜”“明月”来烘托和渲染愁情，孤独、怅惘之情更显突出，更含蓄，更深邃。
此诗艺术上的另一特点是用虚拟的手法，来加强语气，突出人物形象，从而深化主题。三、四两句所表现的心情与外景的不协调，既是眼前情况的写照，更预设了今后的情景。“从此无心”四字表示决心之大，决心之大正见其痛苦之深，终生难忘。“任他”二字妙在既表现出诗人的心灰意懒，又描绘出主人公的任性、赌气的个性特点，逼真而且传神。这种虚拟的情景，没有借助任何字面勾勒，而是单刀直入，直接表达虚拟的境界，与一般虚拟手法相比，又别具一格。

李益(约750—约830)， 唐代诗人，字君虞，祖籍凉州姑臧（今甘肃武威市凉州区），后迁河南郑州。大历四年(769)进士，初任郑县尉，久不得升迁，建中四年(783)登书判拔萃科。因仕途失意，后弃官在燕赵一带漫游。以边塞诗作名世，擅长绝句，尤其工于七绝。
