译文
安闲的在平阳府某权贵家里夜饮，重新添了些蜡烛，接着又呼唤来年轻貌美的姑娘。姑娘们的笑容难以禁止。美艳的舞蹈和歌曲一首接一首，没有间断，保准打算把天当作房屋的盖，把地当作床。
酒杯中的酒都快要溢出来了，还没有到夜深的时候，所有人就都喝得大醉，在参与酒宴的人当中有个风流的人，偷偷地到灯光照射不到的幽暗之处，将两行姑娘撩拨一遍。
注释
金蕉叶：词牌名，此调始作于宋代柳永，见其《乐章集》。因词中有：“金蕉叶泛金波齐”，故名。此词有不同诸体，下列其一。分上下双调。用仄声韵。
厌厌夜饮：《诗经·小雅·湛露》：“厌厌夜饮，不醉无归。”厌厌，安闲的样子。
银烛：旧题晋王嘉《拾遗记五前汉上》：“元封元年，浮忻国贡兰金之泥，此金出汤泉。……百铸，其色变白，有光如银，即银烛是也。”此借以喻明亮之灯光。唐李白《十五夜别张五》：“听歌舞银烛，把酒轻罗霜。”
幕天席地：晋刘伶《酒德颂》：“幕天席地，纵意所如。”
巧笑：《诗经·卫风·硕人》：“巧笑倩兮，美目盼兮。”
金蕉叶：酒器名。
更阑：更深夜尽。
珠翠：妇人饰物，此处指美人。

金蕉叶·厌厌夜饮平阳第创作背景
此词为词人游览平阳府（现今之山西临汾一带）时所作。在平阳府词人受到当地某权贵的接待，众人醉后不免酒后失态，其中一人竟然借酒遍戏妓女，丑态百出。词人对此并无批评责备之意，还作为风流韵事而传播搏笑。但却客观反映了封建社会官场之腐败，豪贵之人生活的奢侈和无耻。

柳永，（约987年—约1053年）北宋著名词人，婉约派代表人物。汉族，崇安（今福建武夷山）人，原名三变，字景庄，后改名永，字耆卿，排行第七，又称柳七。宋仁宗朝进士，官至屯田员外郎，故世称柳屯田。他自称“奉旨填词柳三变”，以毕生精力作词，并以“白衣卿相”自诩。其词多描绘城市风光和歌妓生活，尤长于抒写羁旅行役之情，创作慢词独多。铺叙刻画，情景交融，语言通俗，音律谐婉，在当时流传极其广泛，人称“凡有井水饮处，皆能歌柳词”，婉约派最具代表性的人物之一，对宋词的发展有重大影响，代表作 《雨霖铃》《八声甘州》。
