花穿帘隙透。向梦里销春，酒中延昼。嫩篁细掐，想思字、堕粉轻黏綀袖。章台别后，展绣络、红蔫香旧。□□□，应数归舟，愁凝画阑眉柳。
移灯夜语西窗，逗晓帐迷香，问何时又。素纨乍试，还忆是、绣懒思酸时候。兰清蕙秀。总未比、蛾眉螓首。谁诉与，惟有金笼，春簧细奏。
玉烛新·花穿帘隙透鉴赏
“花穿”三句。此言园中的花香穿过竹帘缝隙飘入室内，给室中的少妇带来了春的信息。可是这时在室中独处的少妇，却仍旧需要向梦中去频频寻觅那春天的消息，并且酌饮醇酒借以打发白天无聊的孤独时光。以上为读者活现出一个少妇怀春、思春的无聊状。“嫩篁”两句。“嫩篁”，即幼竹。“綀”，即苎麻布。此言少妇漫步到园中竹林时，随手在幼竹枝上用指甲仔细地掐上“相思”两字。少妇触景生情，不由得流下了粉泪，沾湿了身上苎麻布制的衣服袖子。以上两个细节，将少妇相思刻划得维妙维肖。“章台”两句。“章台”，指京城繁华街市；“绣络”，即五彩络头，也叫帕头，是束发之具。此言少妇翻点着旧物，见到了这个五彩帕头，就回忆起曾与赠帕头的爱人在繁华的街头上分别时的情景。两个人分手虽已很久，打开帕头见到里面包着的红花虽也枯萎多时，可是仿佛花的香气仍旧留在这帕头里面。少妇思念爱人之深切由此可见。“应数归舟”前缺三字，共两句，从其词意看，是化用温庭筠《望江南·梳洗罢》的词意。此将少妇登楼后手扶阑干，眺望着江上一帆接一帆的归舟，盼郎归来却始终未归的失望心情刻画得惟妙惟肖。
“移灯”句起至“思酸时候”五句是少妇回忆。此言从前，郎君在家中的时候，有一回两个人同坐在西窗下，情意绵绵地秉烛夜话，事后两人又在洒有浓香的罗帐中缠绵至晓。起床后，男人问起少妇：“你什么时候又有了身孕？”少妇边穿着宽大的绢制孕妇服，边回忆着说：“记得那是在我懒于绣花，尽想着酸食吃的时候吧。”“西窗”句，用李商隐《夜雨寄北》“何当共剪西窗烛”诗意。“兰清蕙秀”四句，少妇目前的自怨。“兰、蕙”这里指男孩；“蛾眉螓首”，是指女孩子。当少妇从回忆中惊醒后，又对眼前的孤独倍感哀怨。因此感叹：“生男孩还是生个女孩子好啊。因为男孩子长大后，他又会步他父亲的后尘出门去闯荡世界，久不归家的。但是，这种气话如今还能向谁去诉说呢？看来我只好说给笼中的画眉鸟听了。”

吴文英（约1200～1260），字君特，号梦窗，晚年又号觉翁，四明（今浙江宁波）人。原出翁姓，后出嗣吴氏。与贾似道友善。有《梦窗词集》一部，存词三百四十余首，分四卷本与一卷本。其词作数量丰沃，风格雅致，多酬答、伤时与忆悼之作，号“词中李商隐”。而后世品评却甚有争论。
