霜天晓角·赤壁译文及注释
译文
雪堂主人未借文章之力而青云直上，反因诗文致祸贬谪黄州。他当年在此写下感叹曹、刘兴亡的词赋，而今千古历史遗迹已无踪影。
一眼望去，但见岸石尽赤，赤鼻矶直插白浪翻滚的江心。半夜慨然一声长啸，天地为之生悲，并且变窄。
注释
霜天晓角：词牌名。又名“月当窗”“长桥月”“踏月”等。双调四十三字，前后段各四句三仄韵。
赤壁：赤壁有二，均在湖北境内。一在今嘉鱼县东北江滨，有赤矶山，为当年孙、刘联军大破曹兵之地。一在今黄冈县，临江有赤鼻矶。当年苏轼贬黄州曾游赤壁，因地名相同起兴，写下著名的怀古词赋。辛词所指，当是苏轼笔下的黄州赤壁。
雪堂：苏轼因“乌台诗案”被贬为黄州团练副使。苏轼筑室于黄州东坡，取名“雪堂”。迁客：遭贬迁的官员。
泯：消失。陈迹；旧迹;过去的事情。
矶（jī）岸赤：即 赤壁。矶，水边突出的岩石或石滩。

霜天晓角·赤壁创作背景
辛弃疾曾二官湖北，并于江西、湖北两处调任频繁。此词当作于淳熙四年（1177）。

辛弃疾（1140－1207），南宋词人。原字坦夫，改字幼安，别号稼轩，汉族，历城（今山东济南）人。出生时，中原已为金兵所占。21岁参加抗金义军，不久归南宋。历任湖北、江西、湖南、福建、浙东安抚使等职。一生力主抗金。曾上《美芹十论》与《九议》，条陈战守之策。其词抒写力图恢复国家统一的爱国热情，倾诉壮志难酬的悲愤，对当时执政者的屈辱求和颇多谴责；也有不少吟咏祖国河山的作品。题材广阔又善化用前人典故入词，风格沉雄豪迈又不乏细腻柔媚之处。由于辛弃疾的抗金主张与当政的主和派政见不合，后被弹劾落职，退隐江西带湖。
