译文
能文能武的全才，足可以使南宋中兴，名字永垂青史。其功绩遭到权臣的怨恨，误中权臣的奸计。中原父老再也盼不来北进的王师，赵宋王朝丢弃祖宗的陵庙向南逃去。钱塘路上，风雨凄凄，满含愁怨，洒落在西子湖上。
注释
岳王：即岳飞，宋宁宗时追封为鄂王，故称岳王。
披文握武：指文武双全。
建中兴庙宇：岳飞为国竭智尽忠，挫败了金兵的侵略，使宋朝得以中兴。
正落奸谋：落入奸臣贼子的阴谋。
闪杀人望旌节中原士夫：弄得中原人民只能遥望宋军撤退，而不能恢复祖国的统一。闪杀：抛闪。旌节：指旌旗仪仗。士夫：宋朝的官员。这句指岳飞破金打至朱仙镇被宋廷召回的事。闪杀人指代中原百姓。
误杀人弃丘陵南渡銮舆：奸臣杀害了岳飞，致使大宋皇帝渡江南逃，大片国土沦于金人之手。丘陵：泛指国土。銮舆：天子车驾，代指皇帝，即宋高宗赵构。误杀人指代皇帝，即宋高宗赵构。
钱塘：即今杭州，岳飞在此遇害，后迁葬西湖。

满庭芳·看岳王传鉴赏
这首小令中歌颂的是宋代名将岳飞，前半部分以叙事为主，后半部分将议论与抒情融为一体，整体上是层次分明，一气呵成，动人心魂。开头三句对岳飞作概括性的评价、介绍。“披文握武”，称赞岳飞文武双全；“建中兴庙宇，载青史图书”，指岳飞有再建宋王朝宋庙社稷之功，足以流芳百世。后两句“功成却被权臣妒，正落奸谋”，追述被诬身亡的悲剧，一个“却”字，饱含悲愤、痛惜。“闪杀人望旌节中原士夫，误杀人弃丘陵南渡銮舆”两句揭示由此产生的后果：丢弃宗庙南逃，收复失地无望。最后三句“钱塘路，愁风怨雨，长是洒西湖”，落笔于岳坟。那“愁风怨雨”所凝聚的，正是千古不灭的民族正气，为忠臣的冤魂长掬一腔热泪。全曲前半以叙事为主，后半熔议论与抒情于一炉，既层次分明，又一气呵成，动人心魂。[1] 这支曲子，首句写出岳飞非凡才略。二句接写岳飞的中兴功绩。三句写出岳飞壮烈的一生。四、五句揭露主和派秦桧等陷害岳飞的罪行。六、七句，进写岳飞的英雄业绩，抓住“闪杀人”、“误杀人”，这些带有关键性的问题，进行叙写，把权奸和昏君误国殃民的罪恶，凝练地表现出来。最后三句抒写了对岳飞不幸遭遇的极度悲愤和惋惜之情，同时也表露出作者的爱国思想和民族意识。

周德清（1277－1365）元代文学家。字日湛，号挺斋，高安（今属江西高安市杨圩镇睱塘周家）人。北宋词人周邦彦的后代。工乐府，善音律。终身不仕。著有音韵学名著《中原音韵》，为我国古代有名的音韵学家。元代卓越的音韵学家与戏曲作家。《录鬼簿续篇》对他的散曲创作评价很高，然其编著的《中原音韵》在中国音韵学与戏曲史上却有非凡影响。「德清三词，不惟江南，实天下之独步也。」《全元散曲》录存其小令31首，套数3套。至正己（1365）卒，年八十九。
