天台晓望译文及注释
译文
天台山邻近四明山,华丽清秀的山顶是百越国的最高峰。
赤城山红霞般的崖石迎入朱门,沧岛的明月喜欢栖息的山上的高楼。
登高望远,一直可以看到苍茫溟渤的大海。
天空中云彩如同大鹏的翅膀一样翻腾,苍海里巨大的鲸鱼随波逐浪。
巨浪追逐着旋风,汹涌澎湃,神仙和妖怪如电闪一样快速往来。
看到这奇异的景色,却找不到神仙的踪迹,学道的心思难以平静。
攀缘着树枝,采摘下通红的果实,烧起火热的丹炉炼出丹药,以脱胎换金骨。
如何才能身长羽毛,千秋万代,在蓬莱仙岛逍遥自在呢?
注释
①《台州府志》：天台山，在天台县北三里。自神迹石起，至华顶峰皆是，为一邑诸山之总称。按陶弘景《真诰》曰：高一万八千丈，周围八百里，山有八重，四面如一。《十道志》谓其顶对三辰，或曰当牛女之分，上应台宿，故曰天台。《登真隐诀》曰：处五县中央，为余姚、句章、临海、天台、剡县也。顾野王《舆地志》云：天台山，一名桐柏山，众岳之最秀者也。徐灵府记云：天台山，与桐柏接而少异。《神邕山图》又采浮屠氏说，以为阎浮震旦国极东处，或又号灵越。孙绰赋所谓“托灵越以正基”是也。
②《宁波府志》：四明山，在府西南一百五十里，为郡之镇山，由天台发脉向东北行一百三十里，涌为二百八十峰，周围八百余里，绵亘于宁之奉化、慈溪、鄞县，绍之余姚、上虞、嵊县，台之宁海诸境。上有方石，四面有穴如窗，通日月星辰之光，故曰四明山。
③华顶峰，在天台县东北六十里，乃天台山第八重最高处，可观日月之出没，东望大海，弥漫无际。
④《太平寰宇记》：赤城山，在天台县北六里。孙绰《天台山赋》：“赤城霞起以建标。”李善注：“支遁《天台山铭序》曰：往天台山，当由赤城为道径。孔灵符《会稽记》曰：赤城山，石色皆赤，状似云霞。《天台山图》曰：赤城山，天台之南门也。建标，立物以为表识也。”

⑦刘琨诗：“朱实陨劲气。”

天台晓望创作背景
这首诗作于李白赐金还山后，与杜甫高适分手以后，来四明山镜湖看望老朋友贺知章登临浙江天台山写下的，主要是描写浙江天台山的华顶山，华顶山状如莲花的花心，四周群山向而拱之、层层相裹、形似花瓢，李白登华顶山，挥毫写下了“天台晓望”的旷世诗作。以景托情。

李白（701年－762年），字太白，号青莲居士，唐朝浪漫主义诗人，被后人誉为“诗仙”。祖籍陇西成纪(待考)，出生于西域碎叶城，4岁再随父迁至剑南道绵州。李白存世诗文千余篇，有《李太白集》传世。762年病逝，享年61岁。其墓在今安徽当涂，四川江油、湖北安陆有纪念馆。
