译文
黄昏时的庭院，纤月当空，两人情话绵绵，醉意也渐渐消减。现在，情人已长久未来相会，不知那人心，是真情?还是假意？旧恨新欢，旧情新怨，交织在一起，说不清，理还乱。有谁能见到我忧伤思念，长夜难眠，脸上红泪涟涟，浸湿了珊瑚枕函。
注释
纤：细小。
语密：缠绵的情话。
翻：反，却。
珊（shān）枕：珊瑚色的枕头，即红色的枕头。
泫（xuàn）：流泪。

苦闷的职业加之痛失爱妻，使纳兰性德深陷苦海当中怨天无门，他尤人不果，只能将所有的愁苦都寄托于笔端，有感而发，写出了这首词。

如梦令·纤月黄昏庭院鉴赏
这首词的前两句“纤月黄昏庭院，语密翻教醉浅”是对往日感情的回忆。那个时候，正好是黄昏，一轮新月笼罩整个庭院，虽然没有落霞孤鹜，却有长天秋水。词人十有八九是因为心有牵绊，所以就借酒消愁，但是恋人却翩然而来，悦然相伴，说着绵绵的情话，情意真是缠绵，原本浓浓的醉意都被这些缠绵给驱散到九霄云外了。这回忆的甜美，如饮醇醪。这大概是那些富贵人家原本就有迟眠晏起，俾昼作夜的好习惯，况且纳兰性德是个公子，白天要在书房读书，要学习骑射，放学归内时，差不多天色已晚，因此所写诗词都以“夜景”居多。
后面一句“知否那人心”把词人从美好的回忆里带到了残酷的眼前。真不知道离别后，恋人心里怎么想，说不定早就把自己忘了，虽说“旧恨新欢相半”，事实上很有可能迷上新欢，而忘记旧恨。这里仿佛句句都是埋怨的语气，声声都是质问了。有道是多情自古空余恨，埋怨也没有什么用处，所以词人只好幽独孤单，相思彷徨，以泪洗面而不能入睡。
““红泫”二字足以看出纳兰性德思念之孤楚。描写恋人约会只用了“纤月黄昏庭院”六个字，描写被抛弃的悲哀也只用了“珊枕泪痕红泫”，可以说简约精练到了极点。整首词词人之悲伤已自不待言，然而亦是空惆怅，徒奈何，所以只能对浩渺苍天发一声：谁见？谁见？以决绝之问收尾全篇。

纳兰性德（1655－1685），满洲人，字容若，号楞伽山人，清代最著名词人之一。其诗词“纳兰词”在清代以至整个中国词坛上都享有很高的声誉，在中国文学史上也占有光采夺目的一席。他生活于满汉融合时期，其贵族家庭兴衰具有关联于王朝国事的典型性。虽侍从帝王，却向往经历平淡。特殊的生活环境背景，加之个人的超逸才华，使其诗词创作呈现出独特的个性和鲜明的艺术风格。流传至今的《木兰花令·拟古决绝词》——“人生若只如初见，何事秋风悲画扇？等闲变却故人心，却道故人心易变。”富于意境，是其众多代表作之一。
