译文
是谁在构思打稿，画出一帧像荆浩、关同所作的图画？那夕阳下，分明是残山剩水，上面乱鸦千点落鸿哀怨，渔樵们谈论着盛衰兴亡的闲话。
我登高临远，也不禁为秋景悲伤，对着平原野草热泪盈盈而下。自古以来有情者至死不化，你看那青娥墓下春风野火，也只是烧出鸳鸯双瓦。
注释
青玉案：词牌名。双调六十七字，前后片各五仄韵。亦有第五句不用韵者。
帧（zhēn）：图画的一幅。荆关：荆，指五代时画家荆浩；关，指荆浩弟子关同。荆、关均以山水画名世。
打稿：起稿。
历历：分明可数。水残山剩：同“残山剩水”，指亡国或变乱后山河残破景象。
落鸿：即孤鸿。鸿，鸿雁。
渔樵话：渔父与樵夫的闲话。
悲秋者：伤心人。
盈把：满把。把，一手握取的数量。
青娥冢（zhǒng）：王昭君墓。
鸳（yuān）鸯（yāng）瓦：由两瓦片一俯一仰合成者。

青玉案·天然一帧荆关画创作背景
此词大约写于顺治（清世祖年号，1644—1661年）末年或康熙（清圣祖年号，1662—1722年）之初。当时顾贞观到湖北的楚黄官署去探望姐姐顾贞立。其时清初社会动荡尚未结束，临水登山，更激发了词人的家国之痛，易主之悲，于是写下这首词。

青玉案·天然一帧荆关画鉴赏
此词的上片，重在写景，通过描述触目所见之景，传达出心中的感伤之情。
首句作者以赞美口吻将河山胜景比作五代时大画家荆浩、关同的山水画卷，充满了对大自然鬼斧神工的赞叹和对祖国大好河山的热爱。第二句笔锋陡转，指出这美好景色已因历经战火而残破不堪。一扬一抑，伤时忧国之心毕见。“历历”句徒然一抑，战争给这大好山水留下分明可数的伤痕：处处可见残破之状。“乱鸦”三句，是对残山剩水的渲染和补足，渲染出离乱、饥馑、荒寒的冷色调，加深了山河衰败，民众流离的感叹。末句虽没有道出渔樵对话的具体内容，但易代之悲，破国亡家之痛已是不言而喻。
词的下片，则重在抒情，抒写出“登临”之下所触发的悲伤怨苦，同时也是上片“渔樵话”的继续，顺势将自己因家国沦落而泪洒荒原野蔓之间的悲痛尽落纸间，同时把自己对家国的热爱用“自古有情终不化”表白得淋漓尽致。换头二句，紧承上片“渔樵话”的兴亡之感。“自古有情终不化”，是极为重要之句，它既说明了泪洒荒原的感情内因，又进而强调了这种感情的贞坚不化。末三句，则将这种缅怀故国之情形象化，具体化。诗人以此坟头之草不死、坟头野土不散的意象，来表述凑结心头“终不化”的怨苦之情，凄艳绝伦，不同凡响。
词的上片前三韵，一扬一抑，深沉悲慨已溢见笔端，伤乱忧国心跃现。下片变为主观抒述，聚焦点在“自古有情终不化”之“化”字上。结之以鹭鸯瓦、青娥冢，凝结心头之怨苦，被意象烘托得极凄苦、极悸动，也极见凄艳美。上片下片的收缩都以三个相应观照句，效果均佳。
此词平直中见委婉，议论中寄深情，是写景，也是咏史，它把古代军阀混乱造成的罪恶，活生生展现在读者面前，比一般咏史之作更为感人。词虽从写景入手，却蕴含着特定时代的沉思哀苦，因此产生一种凄厉、惊心的效果。

顾贞观（1637－1714）清代文学家。原名华文，字远平、华峰，亦作华封，号梁汾，江苏无锡人。明末东林党人顾宪成四世孙。康熙五年举人，擢秘书院典籍。曾馆纳兰相国家，与相国子纳兰性德交契，康熙二十三年致仕，读书终老。贞观工诗文，词名尤著，著有《弹指词》、《积书岩集》等。顾贞观与陈维嵩、朱彝尊并称明末清初“词家三绝”，同时又与纳兰性德、曹贞吉共享“京华三绝”之誉。
