译文
高楼上我借酒抒怀，遥望云水相隔的那一方。
云间山峰依稀笼罩着大海的雾气，岸边的红枫远映着赤城山的殷红。
双飞的日月显得那么的神采奕奕，破碎的山河等待着补天的女娲。
我白白学了屠龙的本领，如今却束手无策，可是我的宝剑却在跳跃， 并闪烁出冰冷的寒光。
注释
一览楼：位于作者家乡松江城内。
危：高。
樽（zūn）酒：杯酒，此指代借酒抒怀。
蒹（jiān）葭（jiā）：原意指芦苇，《诗经》中有《蒹葭》一篇，此指代思念南明政权。
云麓（lù）：云山之意。
青海：古代少数民族聚居地，诗词中常用来代称边地。青海雾：以西北青海之雾代指满清势力已占领了半个江山。
赤城：山名，位于今浙江天台县西北，又称“烧山”、“消山”，此代指扶明抗清之决心。
屠龙：比喻有本领，有绝技，代指身怀绝艺而无用武之处。

这首诗作于清顺治三年（1647），是重阳日登高纵目时的感慨之作。

日登一览楼鉴赏
该作一开始，以赋笔展示了诗人的登高赋诗。这里的“蒹葭”出自《诗经·蒹葭》，诗人借此透露出他对“潇湘一涯”的深深怀念。至于“云麓”、“岸峰”，则以优美的笔调，工整而又对仗地写出诗人对眼前景色的感观。乍一看它是顺“南望”而展开，其实在它的背后，包含着一层更深的含义。从历史上看，自从南京弘光倾覆之后，明“唐王”在黄道周、郑成功父子的拥戴下，于福州继皇帝位，改元隆武。明“鲁王”在张国维等的拥戴下，也在浙江绍兴“监国”。在东南一隅，同时出现了两个明朝皇帝，这也就是诗的颈联所说的“双飞日月”。显然，诗人“南望”而浮现在眼前的，更是一种情绪、一种感觉，一种对隐藏在海雾、丹崖背后的那两个抗清政府的深深眷恋。明白了上述含义，“双飞日月”、“半缺山河”也显得容易理解了。在“神骏”、“女娲”的背后，分明寄托着诗人最良好的愿望和深深的祝愿。
诗的尾联，则是抒发深深的感慨。曾几何时，面对清人“留发不留头，留头不留发”的暴行，陈子龙等“复社”中坚，曾揭竿而起，领导、发动了一场声势浩荡的江南抗清起义。可是，由于起义缺乏统一的指挥，各地义军先后被清军击破。曾经飘扬过抗清旗帜的松江城。最后也终于陷落。诗人虽侥幸逃脱，面对亲朋好友纷纷遇难、面对敌人烧杀掳掠，他的心情，自也可以想象。诗中“屠龙”，正是流露出这样一种情绪。诗人借助《庄子》中的典故，把自己曾费尽心血，学会了“屠龙”本领，可是到头来，面对血雨腥风却一筹莫展的那种失望，表现了出来。当然，尽管如此，诗人并不就此消沉。结句的“剑锋腾踏”，诗人借助自己手中的宝剑所表现的那份躁动与闪闪寒光，披露出他急于重新投入战斗的决心。
总之，这是一支英雄的悲歌。它是诗人面对惨淡的局势，而发出的出自内心的呼唤。字时行间，流露出他对南方小朝廷的深深祝福，同时也表现出壮志难酬、壮心不已的那种慷慨与悲凉。
该诗虚实结合，所谓“实”，即诗人从登楼所见写起，“樽酒赋诗”“望潇湘”，见“青海雾”“赤城霞”等，都是写眼前人事与景物，都是实写；所谓“虚”，作者亟待女娲补天之手来力挽狂澜，以及他回想自己空有屠龙之术难以施展，但仍然要拔剑起舞等，都是虚写。

陈子龙（1608—1647）明末官员、文学家。初名介，字卧子、懋中、人中，号大樽、海士、轶符等。汉族，南直隶松江华亭（今上海松江）人。崇祯十年进士，曾任绍兴推官，论功擢兵科给事中，命甫下而明亡。清兵陷南京，他和太湖民众武装组织联络，开展抗清活动，事败后被捕，投水殉国。他是明末重要作家，诗歌成就较高，诗风或悲壮苍凉，充满民族气节；或典雅华丽；或合二种风格于一体。擅长七律、七言歌行、七绝，被公认为“明诗殿军”。陈子龙亦工词，为婉约词名家、云间词派盟主，被后代众多著名词评家誉为“明代第一词人”。
