长堤下，春水碧明一片悠悠，和漳河一起慢慢流。
不要去理睬添愁助恨的棹声紧紧催促，要不然越来越多的离愁别恨一齐载到船上，船儿就会渐渐过重，就怕这桃花溪太浅，载不动这满船的离愁啊。

宴词：宴会上所作的诗。
长堤：绵延的堤坝。
悠悠：指水的长久绵延之态。
畎（quǎn）：田间小沟。
漳河：位于今湖北省中部。
催去棹（zhào）：催促船儿离开。催，催促。去，离开。棹，长的船桨。
胜：承受。
宴词鉴赏
这首写于宴席上的七绝所展示的，正是一幅色调清丽明快的水彩画：长堤逶迤，水色碧明，东风鼓帆，桃花逐波。然而，它的主题却是“离愁”。
春天万象复苏，生机盎然，可是诗人看到的却是碧澄的河水“悠悠”地流去了。诗人从首句起就试着撩拨读者联想的心弦，一个“绿”字点明“春水”特色，也暗示了诗人一片惜别深情。次句“畎入漳河一道流”诗人扩大视野，寓情于景，以景抒情，仍以春景唤起人们联想。那夹着田亩的涓涓渠水宛如一条细长的飘带，缓缓汇入漳河，一起向远方流去，一望无际的碧野显得非常柔和协调。然而眼前美景却激起诗人的无限忧思，春水犹能跟漳河“一道流”，而诗人却不能与友人同往，感到十分遗憾，想到好景不长，盛筵难再，一缕缕愁思油然而起。由于移情的作用，读者不由自主地和诗人的心绪贴近了。
三、四句，诗人一下子从视觉转到听觉和想象上。尽管添愁助恨的棹声紧紧催促，还是不要去理睬它吧。要不然越来越多的离愁别恨一齐载到船上，船儿就会渐渐过“重”，就怕这桃花溪太浅，载不动这满船的离愁。诗人以“莫听”这样劝慰的口吻，将许多难以言传的情感蕴含于内，情致委婉动人。诗中以“溪浅”反衬离愁之深，以桃花随溪水漂流的景色寄寓诗人的伤感。至此，通篇没有一个“愁”字，读者却已通过诗中描绘的画面，充分领略诗人的满腹愁绪了。
从艺术手法上看，这首诗使用了多种表现手法。一为反衬。诗中以“溪浅”反衬离愁之深。诗人想象越来越多的离愁别恨一齐载到船上，船儿就会渐渐过“重”，就怕桃花溪太浅，载不动这满船的离愁。二为想象。诗人写所想，化虚为实，借溪浅不胜舟形象地表达了离愁之重。三为借景抒情。以桃花随溪水漂流的景色寄寓诗人的伤感。
这首匠心独运的小诗含蓄蕴藉。诗人从“看到的”、“听到的”，最终写到“想到的”，不直接由字面诉说离愁，令人读之却自然知其言愁，意境深邃，启迪人思，耐人玩味。

王之涣（688年—742年），是盛唐时期的著名诗人，字季凌，汉族，绛州（今山西新绛县）人。豪放不羁，常击剑悲歌，其诗多被当时乐工制曲歌唱。名动一时，他常与高适、王昌龄等相唱和，以善于描写边塞风光著称。其代表作有《登鹳雀楼》、《凉州词》等。“白日依山尽，黄河入海流。欲穷千里目，更上一层楼”，更是千古绝唱。
