菩萨蛮·秋闺鉴赏
这是一首闺怨词，是作者早起与其夫分陈之遴居两地时所作。上片由景生情。秋风吹得女主人公冰肌寒透了，它却那般不解人意，只顾一味恼人。身体感知的是时节的变迁，时节物侯的变迁不免令人顾影生怜。因为“玲珑晶枕愁双设”——即使美丽的水晶枕也徒为虚设。看着它们双倚的样儿怎不使人感念自身的孤单。此处点明的是“愁”，“双”乃愁缘起。重阳节是登高的好日子，亲朋友伴原该簪上菊花，喜悦地相偕而出。而此时此刻，菊花着吉祥之物，却牵出了几多对远人的思念，让人恨恨难消！下片自道心事。恨的却是远方人久无鱼书，音信全无。独守闺中人的深情，怕只有深夜时长燃的蜡烛和佛晓前的淡月相知吧。“烛泪流残月”，见出从傍晚到深夜，又从深夜到天明，主人公彻夜不能成眠。想拖个吉梦在梦中见他，却也恍恍惚惚，醒转来只见得一抹远山、乱云簇簇。这首小词，将独守空闺女子的落寞凄苦之情，表现的细腻而又蕴藉。

徐灿（约1618－1698），字湘苹，又字明深、明霞，号深明，又号紫言（竹字头）。江南吴县（今苏州市西南）人。明末清初女词人、诗人、书画家，为“蕉园五子”之一。光禄丞徐子懋女，弘文院大学士海宁陈之遴继妻。从夫宦游，封一品夫人。工诗，尤长于词学。她的词多抒发故国之思、兴亡之感。又善属文、精书画、所画仕女设色淡雅、笔法古秀、工净有度、得北宋人法，晚年画水墨观音、间作花草。著有《拙政园诗馀》三卷，诗集《拙政园诗集》二卷，凡诗二百四十六首，今皆存。
