端午即事译文及注释
译文
五月五日是端午节，你赠与我了一枝艾草。死者却看不见，新结交的知己却在万里之外。
往日能够为国尽忠的人，现在已经白发苍苍。我想要从屈原那里得到希望，三湘相隔的比较远。
注释
即事：就眼前之事歌咏。
故人：古人，死者。
新知：新结交的知己。
丹心：指赤红炽热的心，一般以“碧血丹心”来形容为国尽忠的人。
夙昔：指昔时，往日。
灵均：形容土地美好而平坦，含有“屈”字的意思。在这里指屈原。
三湘：指沅湘、潇湘、资湘（或蒸湘），合称“三湘”。也可以指湖南一带。
隔：间隔，距离。
辽海：泛指辽河流域以东至海地区。

文天祥（1236.6.6－1283.1.9），字履善，又字宋瑞，自号文山，浮休道人。汉族，吉州庐陵（今江西吉安县）人，南宋末大臣，文学家，民族英雄。宝祐四年（1256年）进士，官到右丞相兼枢密史。被派往元军的军营中谈判，被扣留。后脱险经高邮嵇庄到泰县塘湾，由南通南归，坚持抗元。祥光元年（1278年）兵败被张弘范俘虏，在狱中坚持斗争三年多，后在柴市从容就义。著有《过零丁洋》、《文山诗集》、《指南录》、《指南后录》、《正气歌》等作品。
