雨雪隔榆溪，从军度陇西。
绕阵看狐迹，依山见马蹄。
天寒旗彩坏，地暗鼓声低。
漫漫愁云起，苍苍别路迷。
雨雪曲译文及注释
译文
雨雪纷飞成了边塞的隔离，跟着军队度过了陇西。
绕着营地能看见狐狸留下的踪迹，在山旁还依稀能看见雪地上马蹄的印记。
天寒地冻，连彩旗也黯然失色，鼓声也显得低沉。
乌云漫漫愁绪绵绵，路途苍茫迷失了回家的路。
注释
雨雪：此处“雨”应读为“yù”，动词，意思是“下”。雨雪：下雪，飞雪。隔：阻隔，隔断。榆溪：榆林塞。此处代指边塞。
从军：参加军队。此处既是诗人自指，也指所有戍卒。陇西：在今甘肃东部。
漫漫：广远无际。愁云：云气阴霾暗淡。
苍苍：空阔辽远。别路：离别家乡之路。迷：迷失。
雨雪曲鉴赏
首联破题，交代了时间、地点、事件，为下文营造了特定的氛围。首尾照应，前说下雪隔断了边塞，指隔断了回家的路，后说不要忘了回家的路。陇西一语双关，一指陇西边关要塞，可见戍边之寒远，陇又有坟墓之意，所以又指战争之残酷。（鲍照《芜城赋》边风急兮城上寒，井径灭兮丘陇残。）
颔联承接首联，进一步写出了边塞的荒凉景象。“狐”字，使人联想到狐死首丘，传说狐之将死，头必朝向出生的山丘，比喻不忘本或对家乡的思念，与荒凉形成对比突出戍卒的思乡之情。
颈联借景抒情，情景交融，把边地的寒冷、阴暗、萧条与士卒压抑、沉闷的心情融合在了一起。
尾联总结全诗，点出了戍卒思乡这个主题。正因为有了这个主题，则前几句诗的萧条之景也找到了落足点。“愁云”和“迷”，不只是自然景象的反映，更是戍卒内心情绪的传达。

江总（519～594）著名南朝陈大臣、文学家。字总持，祖籍济阳考城（今河南兰考）。出身高门，幼聪敏，有文才。年十八，为宣惠武陵王府法曹参军，迁尚书殿中郎。所作诗篇深受梁武帝赏识，官至太常卿。张缵、王筠、刘之遴，乃一时高才学士，皆对江总雅相推重，与之为忘年友。侯景之乱后，避难会稽，流寓岭南，至陈文帝天嘉四年（563）才被征召回建康，任中书侍郎。陈后主时，官至尚书令，故世称“江令”。任上“总当权宰，不持政务，但日与后主游宴后庭”，“由是国政日颓，纲纪不立”（《陈书·江总传》）。隋文帝开皇九年(589)灭陈，江总入隋为上开府，后放回江南，去世于江都（今江苏扬州）。
