赵国的和氏璧价值连城，自古来天底下人人称赞。
今晚上送你回赵州故乡，空中月明如水洒满前川。

赵国有一块价值十五座城他的壁玉，向来是天下闻名的。
我今夜送你回到赵州家乡地方去，天空中留下一轮明月，仍然照满的面的川水呢。
注释
赵纵：杨炯友人，赵州人。
赵氏连城璧（bì）：战国时，赵国得到一块叫和氏璧的美玉，秦王知道后，要用十五座城池交换，故称连城璧。此处用赵氏喻指赵纵，连城璧喻指其才华。连城璧，价值很多座城市的宝玉。这里指战国时赵国的和氏璧。
君：指赵纵。旧府：赵国的故地，指赵纵的家乡山西。

夜送赵纵创作背景
这首诗具体创作时间已无法考证，从题目可知，这是诗人在某个夜晚送别友人赵纵去赵州而作的。

夜送赵纵鉴赏
《夜送赵纵》是一首送别诗，写得气魄宏大。赵纵是赵地的赵姓人，诗人为他送别，很自然地联想到天下尽人皆知的战国时赵惠文王那块和氏璧的故事。
首句“赵氏连城璧”，是诗人以国之瑰宝和氏璧比喻赵纵的品貌。次句“由来天下传”，借美玉的名传天下，进一步比喻赵纵的名气。他是名声远播四海之内的。诗人用比兴手法，明写和氏璧价值连城，盛名久传，暗比赵纵才华出众，天下闻名，符合地点，符合姓氏，显得非常贴切自然。诗人借助他人之口表达自己的心意，委婉地称赞朋友，仰慕之情由衷而发。
第三句“送君还旧府”，这本来是平铺直叙，但力托全诗，可举千斤。照应首句寓意深邃，扣住题目中的“送”字，含有“完璧归赵”的意思，让主题立意也就呼之而出，表达了诗人对友人一路顺风，平安到达的祝愿。诗人构思巧妙，立意高远，使人折服。从诗意推测，赵纵是一位德高望重的名士，大概因仕途失意，辞归故里。在诗人眼中，他是远离尘嚣，冰清玉洁，“完璧归赵”。“送君还旧府”，这近似白话之句确是一个点睛之句，它使前面的喻句有落脚点，后面的景句有依托，能够充分地表达出主题内容。诗人对友人的同情、抚慰、称颂、仰慕之情，也都淋漓尽致再现出来。末句“明月满前川”，纯粹地描写景物，暗应题目中的“夜”字，以明月隐喻玉璧，璧如月洁，月如璧明，进一步称颂赵纵。同时，一个“满”字，既描绘了月光普照大地的景象，又抒发了诗人的满腹别情。诗句交待送别的时间在明月当空的夜晚，地点在奔流不息的河边。当朋友张帆远离之后，诗人伫立遥望，但见清冷的月光洒满大地，空旷孤寞之意袭人。结束语真实地表达出诗人送别故人后的深切感受：惆怅、虚渺。但他又庆幸朋友“完璧归赵”隐退故里，流露出憎恶官场、甚至逃避现实的情绪。
全诗融叙事、写景于一炉，巧用典故，比兴得体，语言明白晓畅，形象鲜明可感。深入浅出，比喻设譬通俗易懂，写景自然贴切，“猝然相遇，借以成章，不假绳削”，借情写景，意境深邃，别有情致。

杨炯（650年－692年），汉族，弘农华阴（今属陕西）人，排行第七；唐朝诗人，初唐四杰之一。显庆六年（公元661年），年仅11岁的杨炯被举为神童，上元三年（676年）应制举及第，授校书郎。后又任崇文馆学士，迁詹事、司直。垂拱元年（685年），降官为梓州司法参军。天授元年（690年），任教于洛阳宫中习艺馆。如意元年（692年）秋后改任盈川县令，吏治以严酷著称，卒于任所。因此后人称他为“杨盈川”。
