兄去游东阁，才堪直北扉。
莫忧持橐晚，姑记乞身归。
道义无今古，功名有是非。
临分出苦语，不敢计从违。
送仲高兄宫学秩满赴行在鉴赏
此诗作于升之宫学秩满之时，在绍兴二十一、二年间，时陆游居山阴。
钱仲联详注仲高身世，大略云：仲高，陆游从兄陆升之也。绍兴十八年（戊辰）进士，其人阿附秦桧，谄事桧党两浙转运使兼临安知府曹泳。泳为政凶酷，缙绅畏之如鬼蜮。时升之为右通直郎，与右承务郎李孟坚亲善。孟坚之父光私撰国史，语涉朝政，或多讪谤褒贬。孟坚以秘事告之，升之发之以告泳，泳检举於朝，光故得罪。後桧死，泳被贬窜新州，升之坐为秦党亦被黜。“临分出苦语，不敢计从违”一句，深有规劝之意。
此诗直白无碍，意思不必过多解释，仲高时往投丞相秦桧门下，故陆游在此诗中予以规儆。“道义无今古，功名有是非”，道义是不分古今的，但凡稍有智识、操守的人都应遵守，然而功名却很难说了。当逢有道之世，求取功名而不悖于道义，或说功名与道义体现为一致性时，自当努力追取。这正是儒家传统的积极用世思想。历数中国古代士人，但凡事业有成者莫不类此，国旺家兴，名垂后世，社会价值与个人价值统统实现。但这样的世道，泱泱中华、上下五千载也只是凤毛麟角，因此多是一种理想状态。而遭逢乱世，帝王昏聩、奸佞当道，功名与道义则体现为对立的关系，这在漫长的中华历史中则是一种常态。士人往往有两类选择：一是舍道义而就功名。陆仲高年轻时正是走了这样一条路。绍兴二十年（1150），陆仲高任诸王宫大小学教授，之后阿附秦桧，以告发秦桧政敌李光作私史事（仲高为李光侄婿），擢大宗正丞。显然这样的一种选择很为时人所不耻，陆游在此诗中也正是劝他不如请求退职。另一种选择是坚决维护道义，至少是维护心中的道义原则。

陆游（1125—1210），字务观，号放翁。汉族，越州山阴（今浙江绍兴）人，南宋著名诗人。少时受家庭爱国思想熏陶，高宗时应礼部试，为秦桧所黜。孝宗时赐进士出身。中年入蜀，投身军旅生活，官至宝章阁待制。晚年退居家乡。创作诗歌今存九千多首，内容极为丰富。著有《剑南诗稿》、《渭南文集》、《南唐书》、《老学庵笔记》等。
