译文
军中的号令像疾风暴雷一样迅速传遍全军，官军的声威震动了大地的每个角落。军队长驱直入，必将迅速收复河洛一带失地，一直攻打到幽燕一带。
战马到处，踏着入侵之敌的血迹，旗杆上悬挂着敌国君主的头颅。官军胜利归来，把好消息报告皇帝，收复了失地，祖国又得到了统一。
注释
紫岩张先生：指抗金名将张浚，诗人朋友。
北伐：指张浚以宰相兼都督诸路军马事的身份，召集诸将至平江府，准备北伐事。诗人也是北伐将领之一。
风霆：疾风暴雷。形容迅速，雷厉风行。
天声：指宋军的声威。
北陬 （zōu）：大地的每个角落。
河洛：黄河、洛水，这里泛指金人占领的土地。
蹀 （dié）：踏。
阏氏（yān zhī）：代指金统治者。匈奴的王后，这里代指金朝侵略者。
可汗（kè hán）：古代西域国的君主，这里借指金统治者。
神州：古代称中国为神州。

送紫岩张先生北伐创作背景
绍兴四年（公元1134年），金兀术和伪齐汉奸刘豫的军队联合南侵，张浚被任命为防守长江的统帅，这时诗人率领的军队也参加了防御战。当张浚出发到前线督战时，诗人写了这首诗替他送行。

“号令风霆迅，天声动北陬”，号令是北伐出师的号令，天声是大宋天朝的声音，这声音，北方遗民父老盼了好久好久，范成大《州桥》诗云：“州桥南北是天街，父老年年等驾回。忍泪失声询使者，几时真有六军来？”有了这样的基础，北伐号令一出，即如飓风雷霆迅速传播，很快震动了最北边的角落。用这种天风海雨之势超笔，充分衬出民心士气的雄壮和誓复故土的决心，使全诗充溢着高昂亢奋的情调。
“长驱渡河洛，直捣向燕幽”，预言战事，充满必胜信心；“长驱”、“直捣”，势如破竹；“河洛”、“燕幽”，渡黄河是恢复宋朝旧疆，向燕幽则还要恢复后晋石敬瑭割让给契丹的燕云十六州，这乃是大宋自太祖、太宗而下历代梦寐以求、念念不忘的天朝基业！
“马蹀阏氏血，旗袅可汗头”，用马蹄践踏阏氏的血肉，把可汗的人头割下来挂在旗杆上示众。“阏氏”、“可汗”这里指金朝侵略者。这种必欲置之死地而后践踏之的痛愤，不正是《满江红》词中“壮志饥餐胡虏肉，笑谈渴饮匈奴血”的另一种说法“。
想象凯旋的情景，其发自内心的喜悦，也正与“待从头、收拾旧山河，朝天阙”相似，表达了岳飞长期的夙愿，也是他和张浚的共同理想。

岳飞（1103—1142），字鹏举，宋相州汤阴县永和乡孝悌里（今河南安阳市汤阴县程岗村）人，中国历史上著名的军事家、战略家、民族英雄，位列南宋中兴四将之首。岳飞是南宋最杰出的统帅，他重视人民抗金力量，缔造了“连结河朔”之谋，主张黄河以北的抗金义军和宋军互相配合，夹击金军，以收复失地。岳飞的文学才华也是将帅中少有的，他的不朽词作《满江红》，是千古传诵的爱国名篇。葬于西湖畔栖霞岭。
