译文
天下有几人精于画古松？毕宏已老韦偃还年轻。
画成停笔便觉松梢长风起，满堂观者无不动容叹神奇。
两株古松暴裂着长满苔藓的皮，盘绕的高枝有如青铁交错而屈曲。
剥蚀的树干好像龙虎的白骨，阴森的树叶好像低垂的雷雨。
松很处一位西域僧人在静息，眉发斑白神情超脱无拘羁。
袒露右肩光着双脚，身前松子落满地。
韦侯啊韦侯尽快来相见，我有一匹好素绢。
其价不亚于锦绣缎，舒展时把那光影乱。
我已让人把它修饰得平展，请您挥笔画直干。
注释
韦偃（yǎn）：《历代名画记》“偃”作“鷃”，是唐代著名画家，本为京兆人，后寓居于蜀。
毕宏：当时著名画家，善画古松奇石，天宝年间官为御史，后拜给事中。
绝笔：谓画成而搁笔。长风起纤末：形容此画之笔力劲健，风格高举。
嗟（jiē）：赞叹。
屈铁：比喻松枝弯曲而色黑如铁。
太阴：这里指阴森黑暗。
胡僧：西域僧人。憩（qì）：休息。
庞眉皓首：长眉白头。住著：佛教用语，即执著。
偏袒（tǎn）右肩：佛教徒身披袈裟，袒露右肩，以表示恭敬。
韦侯：即韦偃。数：快。
东绢：四川盐亭县有鹅溪，县出绢，谓之鹅溪绢，亦名东绢。
锦绣段：精美的丝织品。
光凌乱：指素绢舒展时光影凌乱的样子。
直干：指树干挺拔的松树。

戏为韦偃双松图歌创作背景
此诗当作于唐肃宗上元元年（760）。韦偃善画鞍马、松石，朱景玄《唐朝名画录》：“（韦偃）画高僧、松石、鞍马、人物，可居妙上品。”杜甫初到成都后，就与韦偃相识，这首题画诗，就作于这个时候。

戏为韦偃双松图歌鉴赏
此诗起句语调平缓，“天下几人画古松，毕宏已老韦偃少”总出韦偃善画松且正当年，接着，突然发出警语：是说当韦偃画成搁笔的时候，松树梢末忽起清风，满堂观画的人都为之动色，惊叹松画的神妙。这与“堂上不合生枫树，怪底江山起烟雾”的惊人句具有异曲同工之妙。
中段八句，具体描绘韦偃《双松图》中的景象，诗境即是画境。意思长满苔藓的双松树皮，已经坼裂，屈曲如铁的松枝，交错回环。“白摧”、“黑入”二句分承上文诗意，就“皮裂”和“枝回”作进一步的形象描绘。“白摧朽骨龙虎死”，是指松皮坼裂的枝干好象龙虎的朽骨，韦偃用枯淡的笔法画枝干，所以说“白摧”。“黑入太阴雷雨垂”，形容回环枝干上的松叶，好像下垂的阴云雷雨，韦偃用浓润的笔触画树荫，因此称“黑入”。“松根胡僧”以下四句，描写松下入定僧，神态宛然。须眉花白的胡僧在松下入定，右肩和双脚任其袒露，寂无声息，似乎在休憩，连松叶中的松子掉下来也不知道。
诗人喜爱韦偃的松画，于是备绢求画。“韦侯韦侯数相见”，可见诗人与韦偃已是熟识的朋友，所以他便拿出“不减锦绣段”的“好东绢”，请画家纵笔作画。韦偃画松，以屈曲见奇，画直干松就难以显示出他画技的长处，杜甫却请求他“放笔为直干”，这里是说：你能纵笔画直干的松树吗？强人所难，戏之也。也可见两人交情深厚。全诗别无“戏”意，直到结句才照应题上的“戏”字。
题画诗最基本的艺术要求是，诗人应当进入画的实境中，把绘画美转化为诗艺美。此诗开头四句和结尾五句，从《双松图》的艺术效果着笔，渲染韦偃画艺的出神入化，以至引起诗人的极大兴致，出绢求画。而中段八句，才是描写《双松图》的画面，画的实境是双松和松下老僧。前四句，描绘双松宛转盘曲之态、烟霞风云之变，着力表现松的奇崛之美；后四句，描摹松下老僧潇洒脱俗的神情，着力再现人物的灵异之美。松之奇崛和僧之灵异，融为一体，构成整幅《双松图》的绘画美。诗人用诗的语言再现了它们，造成了奇峭的诗境美。

杜甫（712－770），字子美，自号少陵野老，世称“杜工部”、“杜少陵”等，汉族，河南府巩县（今河南省巩义市）人，唐代伟大的现实主义诗人，杜甫被世人尊为“诗圣”，其诗被称为“诗史”。杜甫与李白合称“李杜”，为了跟另外两位诗人李商隐与杜牧即“小李杜”区别开来，杜甫与李白又合称“大李杜”。他忧国忧民，人格高尚，他的约1400余首诗被保留了下来，诗艺精湛，在中国古典诗歌中备受推崇，影响深远。759-766年间曾居成都，后世有杜甫草堂纪念。
