苏州府常熟人，字梦雨。身为贵公子，不问家人生产。与歌妓王桂善，家贫不能娶。桂归嘉禾富人子，郁郁且死，召于与诀，于岁吊其墓。集唐人句为百绝以悼之。后复识妓徐三，尽资备装。值于卧病，三窃其资他适，于遂不食死。钱谦益为作《徐娘歌》。
