刘舜臣，仁宗庆历二年（一○四二）为贺契丹国主生辰副使（《续资治通鉴长编》卷一三七）。四年时知石州（同上书卷一五）。皇祐二年（一○五○）时为同提点荆湖南路刑狱（同上书卷一六八）。神宗熙宁五年（一○七二）时知阶州（同上书卷二三七）。
