苏州府昆山人，字以言。精医理。至京师，以诗文游公卿间，为人治病，常应手而愈。将以尚医官之，拂袖而去。至杭州，诗名甚噪，当地人士争相延致。辞归，与常熟孙艾为至交，后卒于其家。平生著作多散佚，晚年所存，有《内经解》、《虚岩山人集》。
