《新秋夜寄诸弟》鉴赏
原文
两地俱秋夕，相望共星河。
高梧一叶下，空斋归思多。
方用忧人瘼，况自抱微痾。
无将别来近，颜鬓已蹉跎。
赏析
首二句言新秋，但从中已流露思弟之苦：这两句，“俱秋夕”的“俱”字，从两地落笔，点出与弟相思难会之苦；而秋风萧索之夕，更从季候中烘衬出一层悲凉之色。“共星河”的“共”字，反衬出除“星河”而外，其他别无可共。从而使人由今夕而想到已往。昔日在京，家庭欢聚，同桌共餐，携手同游，文津共渡，诗文同赏，无话不论，何等欢欣；而今“共望”的，却只“星河”在天。一个“共”字，反衬出诗人极其寂寞之感，透出诗人极其忆昔之情。
如果说首二句，把兄弟的相思和思归之心还暗藏于字面之后，那么，次二句的这种感情表现得就更加明显了：俗话说“一叶落而知天下秋”这高大的梧桐树上，秋风偶吹黄叶落地，便引起诗人无限的思归之情。“高梧”对“空斋”，虽是衙署中实有之景，却正契合着诗人心境空寂的情愫；“一叶下”对“秋思多”，表面是因果关系的对仗，好像因“叶下”而生“归思”之想，而实则是因“归思多”才更注意了节候的变化，由此衬出诗人思念诸弟之殷切。念弟思归毕竟是个人小事，从政爱民才是职责大事。作为清正的官吏，诗人在这一点上是看得很清楚的。因而接下去写道“方用忧民瘼，况自抱微痾。”为递进之语，为尾联内容转折作铺垫。两句的言下之意是一定要好好从政爱民，切不可因思念诸弟而使岁月蹉跎。劝勉自己不要因念诸弟而变得苍老，正说明思弟情深，难于忘怀。
这首诗语言浅近，感情深挚，诗人能把个人小事置于从政大事之下，体现了一位清正官吏应有的思想品格。诗虽是古体，但有些诗句却清丽而又对仗工稳，情深而又不独溺于己情，表现了诗人娴熟的写作技巧。

韦应物（737～792），中国唐代诗人。汉族，长安(今陕西西安)人。今传有10卷本《韦江州集》、两卷本《韦苏州诗集》、10卷本《韦苏州集》。散文仅存一篇。因出任过苏州刺史，世称“韦苏州”。诗风恬淡高远，以善于写景和描写隐逸生活著称。
